With broadcasting technology rapidly converting to digital, Fujinon has developed a new digital servo control system, DIGI POWER, to enhance the performance of its zoom lenses.
All of the new DIGI POWER lenses and accessories are compatible with earlier Fujinon products, eliminating the problems normally associated when upgrading.
All field lenses and the HA26x6.7 incorporate a fixed front element, which reduces dust contamination and serves as protection for the front focus group. A concealed compartment, which contains a field replaceable drying agent, serves to reduce fogging of the internal lens components due to humidity.
The Digi Zoom Demand plugs into the lens remote connector located on the underside of the lens servo module and provides zoom speed control, one-shot preset, Quick Zoom, focus or iris control, VTR and return video.
Quick Zoom speed is improved to 0.7 seconds end to end. Quick Zoom provides for a rapid zoom movement to the telephoto position to check focus with the simple push of a button.
The maximum zooming speed obtained when pressing the see-saw switch to the end can be adjusted.
Optional 16 bit processing is available for more accurate positioning in virtual studios and other applications.
This enables cameramen to operate the zoom switch without any hesitations or worries about shooting unnecessary areas.
These zooming mode settings are ideal when switching between productions such as drama and sports.
Pressing the C-Z button while zooming will fix the zoom speed at the existing rate. Pressing the see-saw switch a second time slightly will return the zoom speed to normal.
This system allows macro shooting as close as 0.3m (0.05m on HA27x6.5) from the object.
