FUJINON Duvo^TM lens takes 2023 NAB by storm

Innovative FUJINON Duvo^TM HZK25-1000mmF2.8-5.0 CineBox PL lens leaves Las Vegas with a trio of awards under its arm

FUJINON Duvo^TM HZK25-1000mmF2.8-5.0 CineBox PL enjoyed triple success at the recent 2023 NAB Show in Las Vegas. One of the key events in the broadcast – and now cinema – industry calendar, the show saw members of the media and entertainment industry from across the globe descend on the Las Vegas Convention Center, where organizers and media professionals alike were quick to recognize the inaugural Duvo^TM series lens’s industry-leading credentials.

Duvo^TM HZK25-1000mm’s first success came from the show’s own organizers, with the PL-mount lens scooping a Product of the Year award in the Camera Supports, Controls and Accessories section of the Create category. In addition, the lens was awarded outright BEST OVERALL in the Create category, ahead of over 50 other award-winning products.

Tom Fletcher (below center), Director of Marketing, Optical Devices Division at FUJIFILM North America Corporation, who accepted the award along with Victor Ha, Vice President of Electronic Imaging Division and Optical Devices Division (below left), said: “We’re so proud to be able to offer such a unique, innovative lens to both the broadcast and cinema markets, and being recognized for that, not only in our category but with the BEST OVERALL award in the entire Create category, was truly the cherry on top of one of the best NAB Shows we’ve had.”

But the Duvo^TM lens wasn’t done yet! The following day, ProductionHUB – a global network of local crew and vendors that serves the film and video production industry – deemed the Duvo^TM HZK25-1000mm worthy of one of its 2023 Awards of Excellence. Recipients are chosen by ProductionHUB editorial staff and industry experts, with the winning products recognized as ‘products that help streamline workflows for film and video production, as well as advance the art of cinematography.’

ProductionHUB went on to say that the lens ‘combines broadcast functionality with beautiful bokeh, delivering a cinematic look to live, as well as scripted productions. Not only does it enable filming in low-light environments such as indoor concerts or nighttime events, but the shallow depth-of-field creates the bokeh that delivers the highly sought-after cinematic look.’
